Freya Parker is a British actress, comedian and radio jockey. She is part of the comedy sketch, Lazy Susan. Freya attended college at the Liverpool John Moore’s University in the United Kingdom, from where she earned a Bachelor degree in Drama with Honours. Freya started her television career with the Episode Crisis Management of the serial Blue Murder directed by Juliet May. The third episode of season 4 aired on 17th December 2007 on ITV. She appeared as Matilda in the television documentary mini-series 1066: A Year To Conquer England in 2017.
She also played roles in TV shows like Silent Witness, Brotherhood and Josh. She made a guest appearance on the Comedy Up Late show’s third episode of season 3 which aired on 29th April 2015. Freya played the role of the Girl Petitioner in the 2005 short film Enemy Lines directed by Michael Steel. She also appeared in short films like Our Ordered Lives, Dystopia St. and Custom Love. In 2009, Freya appeared in Theatre as Mary-Lou in the stage play Devils Gulch: A Dastardly Deed directed by Zoe Pepper. Freya made her feature film debut with the movie Dead In France directed by Kris McManus. She appeared as the Screaming Girl. The comedy film hit the silver screens on 20th August 2012. Before this, she made an uncredited appearance as a Crime Scene Officer in the 2009 film Act Of God. She later played the role of Shiv Fallis in the movie United We Fall written, produced and directed by Gary Sinyor. The satire hit the theatre halls on 17th October 2014.
She appeared in the Dystopia St. segment of the 2016 Hollywood anthology horror flick The Void. Freya first aired on radio in the topical comedy show Newsjack Series 12 on BBC Radio 4. She became popular as Peg on DOT on BBC Radio 4 in 2016. She also plays the role of Peg in DOT 2 on BBC Radio 4 in 2017. Freya and Celeste Dring form the sketch duo, Lazy Susan. They won a nomination for the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award under the Best Newcomer category for their Double Act in 2014. They aired on Sketchorama on BBC Radio 4 with Gus Beattie in 2015.
Freya was the voice actor for the characters Ella Pontes, Ersa and Talanah in the sci-fi adventure game Horizon: Zero Dawn. It was released for Play Station 4 in the US on 28th February 2017 and on 1st March 2017 in the UK.
