Surbhi Dewan is a producer in Hollywood. She has more than ten years of independent film, television, and digital content production expertise. The films of Surbhi link intimate portraiture to more expansive sociopolitical settings. Many of the short creative documentaries she has made have been exhibited at film festivals worldwide. She worked on digital ads, corporate films, training films, and music videos for many companies, including the Ministry of Sound, Skill India, and Breakthrough.tv, Aquafina, JungleeRummy, Caple, and The Nature Conservancy. She has received numerous honors and screenings throughout her career, including the Award of Merit from Canada Shorts, the Best Short Film (International) Award from the Colombo International Women's Film Festival, the Best Script Award from the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, the Special Jury Mention Award from the Siliguri Short & Documentary Film Festival, and the Best Script Award from the 14th SiGNS Festival. She produced a long-form documentary about individual accounts of India's Partition (1947). She made a documentary film mapping the various Ramleela performance traditions throughout Odisha, India, while working as a second unit director at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in that state.

She contributed to the third season of "Chhoone Do Aasman" (Let Them Touch The Sky), an award-winning campaign for disadvantaged children produced by NDTV and the Smile Foundation. She produced a collection of 15 brief documentaries about girls. Broadcast in February 2012 on NDTV India. She also served as the assistant director for several commercials and documentaries for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare about the National Rural Health Mission. For the Ministry of External Affairs, research was conducted for a documentary film about Barefoot College in Tilonia, Rajasthan. At Vidhi Films, she produced the India portion of a new documentary project by Sabiha Sumar, the producer of the Academy Award-winning documentary "Saving Face."

She announced that Cinereach and the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program have each given the project a development grant. She served as the Education Video Center's assistant instructor for the 15-week credit-bearing Youth Documentary Workshop, which trains high school students from all over New York City in the research, production, and editing of gripping documentaries that focus on issues affecting communities and young people. The documentary film "Our Inheritance: Growing Up in a Decade of War" was made with the help of a group of high school kids she coached. Today's teenagers can hardly recall when our nation wasn't at war.
