Julie Yorn

Julie Yorn is a producer. She was born in the year 1969. Her father Mel Silverman was a New York Artist. She is a graduate of Tulane University where she met her ex-husband, Kevin. Kevin had received his Law degree from the same college. Julie Yorn got married to Kevin Brett Yorn on 4th July 1996. She was the sister-in-law of popular musician Pete Yorn. She has worked for a management company named Addis aka. Wechsler. She was also the co-owner of Artists Management Group with Michael Ovitz. She took this position in the year 2000. She currently works at The Firm which is owned by Jeff Kwatinetz. In the year 2007, she briefly worked for the companies of her then brother-in-law, Rick Yorn.

She has been nominated for ‘Producer’s Guild Award’ for Best Theatrical Motion Picture (America). One of the early and notable works of Julie is ‘Unstoppable’. The movie was released in 2010. It was a disaster thriller which was directed by Tony Scott. This was his final film as director as he died the following year. Its plot was vaguely based on the CSX 8888 incident which tells the tale of a runaway freight train along with the two men who were trying to stop it. The flick received positive views from critics and large audiences in the theatres. In the year 2011, Julie produced multiple flicks. ‘Red Riding Hood’ was a popular movie that released under her name that year. It was produced by Julie, Yorn and Leonardo DiCaprio.
