Brian Thomas Grazer, an American film producer, was born on 21 July 1951, in Los Angeles. He is also the co- founder of Imagine Entertainment, Hollywood's most successful and prolific production companies. The movies produced under that have collected about $13 billion. He announced himself as 'half- Jewish' in 2001 as his mother was a Jew and father was a Catholic. He has two siblings, Nora Beth Grazer and Gavin Grazer, who is an actor and a director, by profession. They grew up in Sherman Oaks and Northridge. He earned a major in Psychology from University of South California. In 1974, he completed his graduation from USC's School of Cinema- Television. When he was in high school, his parents got divorced. He started his Hollywood career in 1975, quitting his law studies.

His career started with producing television projects. He was a executive producer at Paramount Pictures where he met Ron Howard. Along with Ron, he produced his debut movie Night Shift in 1982. They both joined again for Splash in 1984 and this made him fetch  his first Nomination for Oscar in the category of Best Original Screenplay. Grazer's work got him nominated for 43 Academy Awards and 131 Emmy Awards. Some of his successful movies include Parenthood, Backdraft and Apollo 13. For Apollo 13, he won “Producers Guild of America Award for Best Theatrical Motion Picture,” and got an Oscar nomination in the Best Picture category. He was honored with his own star at Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1998. In the same year, he made a cameo appearance in the sitcom The Simpsons.

He produced the movie A Beautiful Mind in 2001 and the movie received the Best Picture, Academy Award for. 8 Mile, the movie which had the first ever rap song, was also produced by him in 2002. It proved to be a big hit and made Eminem earn an Oscar for his song Lose Yourself in the category of Best Original Song. Frost/ Nixon, an adaptation of Peter Morgan's play was nominated for five Academy Awards. Garner has produced a movie of every genre including comedies and dramatic thrillers. He also wrote and published a book titled “ A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life,” which depicts his encounter with interesting people. His personal life was very complicated. He has been divorced and married three times. Firstly to Theresa Mckay which lasted for seven years from 1972 to 1979, and then to Corki Corman from 1982 to 1992 and had had two children with her. Lastly, he married Gigu Levangie, a famous screenwriter and novelist, and had two sons with her. A few days back on February 20, he married Veronica Smiley, CMO of SBE, a hotel management company.
