Benjamin Cavell is a California-based writer/producer was born in Massachusetts, USA, in 1976 in the household of Stanley Cavell, the latter was a professor of Aesthetics and the General Theory of Value at Harvard University. Benjamin himself has a cum laude degree in English Literature from Harvard (1998). Benjamin Cavell is best known for his work in the Golden Globe Award-winning TV series, Homeland (2011), SEAL TEAM (2017), Justified(2010), Stinky Pete(2017), Wall Street(2014) and The Stand(2015).
He was a nominee for the Writers Guild Awards for Best New Series, Edgar Award for Television Episode Teleplay, and Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama series. Before his success in mainstream cinema, he was an author and an editor for The Harvard Crimson, well known for his book Rumble, Young Man, Rumble, a collection of nine well-written short stories which was very well received and praised by newspapers and critics alike.
He has been compared to novelists like Norman Mailer and Ernest Hemingway due to his writing debut and his background as a boxer at Harvard University. The San Francisco Chronicle states his book as an engaging and funny take on the new generation. The New York Times deems the nine stories as an excellent collection.
