Emilio Kauderer is a music composer from Argentina, who extensively works in film scoring. Emilio was born in Argentina. He has given some of the extraordinary compositions and stage performances as a classical pianist. He also trains students at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory. After coming to Argentina, his compositions were given by Camerata Bariloche. His ‘Danzon’ was awarded the Yamaha-Promusica Award. Emilio started working in the Argentinian cinema from 1980. He then composed for a film, La Discoteca del amor that was directed by Adolfo Aristarain. He got an honorary fellowship in Sundance Institute’s Composer’s Lab and there he was selected as the Music Composer for New York’s Jewish Heritage Museum. Paquito’s Christmas, a musical written by Luis Avalos was conducted and performed by Emilio at the Washington Opera. This musical had featured the grandson of Plácido Domingo for three consecutive seasons and was played at the civic center of Pasadena, in Los Angeles. Emilio’s work was beautifully represented by National Symphonic Orchestras in Honduras, Argentina and Washington. His orchestral work was performed by the Philharmonic under the aegis of Gustavo Dudamel at Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles. The Washington Opera later performed one of Emilio’s symphonic works. He also worked on the sound tracks of Same Rain, Same Love, Vientos de Agua, and El Hombre de Tu.
He has also written scores for Time for Revenge and A Place in the World. He won Academy Awards for Secret in Their Eyes. Emilio won the award for the Best Soundtrack of the film, Underdogs. He was also honored with Arbol de La Vida Award in 2013 by Guadalajara International Film Festival. He also got fellowship to BMI Conductors Lab. Emilio also got the opportunity to participate in the Grammy-winning Bajofondo Tango Club, an album with his original song Maroma. This was produced by Juan Campodonico and Gustavo Santaolalla. Emilio Kauderer has until now received many accolades and awards like Clarin Award for Best Soundtrack (2007), Martin Fierro for Best Soundtrack (2008), Del Nuevo Cine Latino-americano for Best Soundtrack (2009) and Premio Sur for Best Soundtrack (2009). He also bagged many nominations, such as Clarin Nomination for Best Soundtrack (2011), BMI fellowship, best soundtrack at the Goya Awards and Emmy nomination for Best Score for Dead like Me (2004). Emilio also composed the soundtrack for Sony PlayStation’s game series, Spyroseries.
