Martin Phipps is a British music composer, who was born on 1st August 1968 in England, brought up by his mother Sue Pears and father Jack Phipps, an arts administrator. Martin is the godson of the legendary pianist and composer Benjamin Britten. After graduating from the Manchester University in drama, Martin enjoyed his fair share of success with BBC dramas like ‘North & South’ and ‘The Virgin Queen,’ winning the award for Best Orignal Score at the Ivor Novello Awards. In 2010, he won the Best Original Television Music award at the BAFTA Craft Awards for ‘Small Island,’ Ruby Films/BBC. His recent projects include the 2016 TV show ‘War & Peace’ and the TV series ‘Victoria.
