Olga Fonda was born as Olga Tchakova on October 1, 1987, in Siberia, Russia. Later, her family moved to Ukhta, an industrial town in the Komi Republic, Russia. In Fonda’s own words, her father used to own a grocery store there. She also has an elder brother.

When Olga was 14 years of age, she traveled to the United States for a year as an exchange student. On returning, she continued her Business-Economics studies in Moscow. At age 17, she moved to the U.S. again, where she pursued higher studies at the University of Maine, Augusta.

Olga chanced upon modeling when she was contacted by Paul Fisher, a modeling agent. Initially, she featured in commercials for Puma and Motorola. She also appeared on the cover of magazines in the United States, Japan, and Italy. Besides, she has also starred in the short Captain Fork and television short film Kat Fight!

The actress has expertise in martial arts, sword-fighting, karate, motocross, and snowboarding. Olga also likes to do her stunts during action scenes.

Olga married Michael Fundaminski in 2000, but the couple divorced in 2008. Later in 2018, she exchanged marriage vows with Liam Waite and has three children Asher Sky, Tristan, and Tristan River.
