Fred Thompson

Fred Thompson is one of the most prominent people of the United States of America. He has served as the U.S Senator from 1994 till 2003. His birth name was Freddie Dalton Thompson, which he changed later on. He was born in Sheffield, Alabama on the 19th of August 1942. His father, Fletcher Session Thompson, was an Automobile marketer and his mother was Ruth Inez. He often worked at local post offices and bicycle assembly plants to earn and save some money. It is one of the learned facts that young Freddie was the first among all other members of his family to study at a University. He was then attending Florence State College, which has been renamed as The University of North Alabama.

He completed a double degree in Philosophy and Political Science after being transferred to Memphis State University. Then in the year 1964’s he earned a Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from Vanderbilt Law School. His work life is another world in itself. He has always been a very intelligent student, and as was expected of him, he has achieved lots of applauds from everyone for his deeds. Before becoming the U.S Senator he has served as the assistant to the U.S Attorney, Campaign Manager to Senator Howard Baker, and minority counsel to Senate Watergate Committee. He has also worked as an Attorney with Law Offices; he was also the special counsel to Senate Foreign Relations Committee and counsel to Senate Intelligence Committee. He was a member of the Appellate Court Nominating Commission for the State of Tennessee. Apart from all his academic achievements, he was also a talented actor. He was a cast of the NBC Television series ‘Law & Order’, which was a very famous and popular T.V Series. Besides the role as an actor, he was also a Radio Host for the ABC News Radio, a columnist for Salem Communications and a lobbyist. He has earned millions of dollars by putting up his efforts in Lobbying.
