Ben Decter

Ben Decter is an award-winning composer and songwriter. He was born in New York Click to look into! >> Read More... but brought up in Montclair, New Jersey. He went to Harvard University for his graduation, where he earned a degree in Political Science. Presently, he lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two kids. He is blessed with one son and a daughter, his son is currently studying in New York. He composes tunes for television and films. He is exceptionally talented, not only does he write songs for the movies but, also for the piano and orchestra. He has this talent for creating surreal stories through music. He has composed songs for plenty of films like Operation Homecoming in 2007, Richard E. Robbins directed and produced the film along with Tom Yellin.

The film's plot revolves around the American combat soldiers and their life struggles when they went to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2009, he composed songs for another film, Heart of Stone. Director Beth Toni Kruvant and Zach Braff directed the film. The film’s story revolves around a lazy father who could not provide enough for his family, and he is noteven worried in the slightest about the problems. Because of his behavior, conflicts are going on in the house every time. His wife nags him, and his kids ask him to get them new clothes and stuff. But, the fact that he cannot afford all of these frustrates him to hell. In 2011, he gave sound to the film A Christmas Kiss.

Director John Stimpson directed the drama, and it stars Brendan Fehr, Joany Kane, Elisabeth Rohm, and Laura Breckenridge. Joany Kane wrote the storyline for the film. Ben has also won the Emmy Award for the composition he made for the film Operation Homecoming. In his recent projects, he has composed tunes for Netflix’s Lucifer, (ABC) Bless This Mess, (FOX) Lethal Weapon, and (HULU) Shut Eye. He has created notes for New York’s Cedar Lake Ensemble Ballet Company and gave perfect sound to hundreds of ad films like Honda, McDonald’s, Visa, and Lifesavers.com.

He has a wide range of audacity to work on different projects and create the sound for divergent purposes. He has composed the orchestra music for Shonda Rhimes, ABC Drama, the procedural drama Off The Map, and CBC’s CSI: Cyber. He also created Latin sound for Sony’s Big Mike Pilot, WB's Baby blues, and a dramatic music score for Dick Wolf’s FEDS.
