Mykel Hawke’s full name is Mykel Hawke Pierce. He is an English author, television & film personality, and former U. S. Army Special Forces officer. He was born on November 29, 1965. In 1982, Mykel Hawke joined the US Army and served actively for over twelve years. Also, he served in the Reserves & Guard for twelve more years. In the military, he trained UN peacekeepers in war-torn Africa. He also did combat search & rescue missions during the drug war in Colombia. He held three Enlisted, Special Forces Military Occupational Skills (MOS), such as Special Forces Communicator, 18E; Special Forces Medic, 18D; and Special Forces Intelligence Operations, 18F. In 2011, Mykel Hawke retired as a Captain from the U. S. Army Special Forces Command at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Mykel Hawke has authored many books and manuals, including “The Quick and Dirty Guide to Learning Languages Fast” (2000), “Foraging for Survival: Edible Wild Plants of North America” (2019), “In the Dark of the Sun” (2010), “Under a Hard Blue Sky” (2021), and many more.
Also, he is a Professor of Survival for American Survival Guide University in Miami, Florida, specializing in communications, wilderness medicine, intelligence, self-defense & family readiness. Throughout his career, Mykel Hawke has also appeared in almost fifty television shows, including “The Men Built America: Frontiersmen” (2018), “Men, Woman, Wild” (2010-2012), “One Man Ary” (2011-2012), “Lost Survivors” (2013), etc. he is well known for the television programs which he created on Discovery Channel called “One Man Army” and “Man, Woman, Wild.” He has also done eight series and a film. He also runs custom courses, and spy games & commando adventures.
