Elizabeth Hunter

Elizabeth Hunter is a 12-year-old young actress. She hails from Georgia, where she lives with her parents, two brothers and a sister. She attends school at East Central Elementary School. Hunter had been keen on acting and dancing from very early on. At the age of 7, she began doing theatre in her hometown. At the age of 8, she got an agent in Atlanta and started doing commercials. She had been doing modelling assignments on the side. Her background in acting and dancing also helped her in this endeavour. Now Elizabeth has moved on to the bigger picture in LA and travels a lot between here and her home and has her mother with her everywhere she goes. She had done a lot of local theatre and minor roles in TV series before her big project, that was 90 Minutes in Heaven – a movie about a man, Don Piper, who dies in a car accident and reaches heaven.

But this trip to heaven lasts for only 90 minutes and is then back with his family. Hunter plays the role of the daughter of Don Piper, Nicole. Hunter says that she understood the role quite well as she identifies with her character at many levels. The movie is inspired by the book by Cecil Murphy and Don Piper and all the proceeds from the film will go to charity. Another independent movie which she has done is The Unwanted. She has also starred in television shows such as Heart of Dixie, Nashville, Finding Caster and Powers. Her favourite part of being in the acting business is that she gets to portray a complete stranger and dress up. Hunter received the Youth Artist Award at the Georgia Entertainment Gala for her performance in 90 Minutes in Heaven. Such experience from an early age onwards has given Hunter’s acting the kind of maturity which others achieve only after years of hard work. This maturity also reflects on her face as she doesn’t look like a 12-year-old.

While her peers are enjoying summer holidays vacations at the beach, Hunter is travelling to a different location for shooting, rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of the industry and making a name for herself. Her mother and Elizabeth herself do a lot to promote her movies and appearances at award functions. Elizabeth wants to make a career out of acting but not at the cost of her studies. She dreams of going to the UK for her higher education. She works very hard for a girl her age and has a lot to achieve in the future. A promising star.
