SuChin Pak is a renowned news correspondent in American Television. She was one of the most successful and first Asian correspondent with MTV’s cable services. SuChin was born on August 15th, 1976 in South Korea’s Seoul. She was born and brought up in South Korea with her family till the age of five. It was then that her family decided to move to California in the United States and start a restaurant.

Young SuChin went to James Logan High School in a South Eastern Suburb of San Francisco. She was an active volunteer at the YMCA’s program which aimed at making the youth aware of the governmental functions and thereby achieving increased youth participation in politics. SuChin was famous for her speaking skills from her school days but she never thought of making a career out of it.

She was approached by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) in the year 1992 for an interview in their show ‘Straight Talk ‘N Teens’. After watching this show, the then National Broadcasting Company’s director was impressed with Pak and offered her the job to host their show, ‘ First Cut First Cut is a film- based program showcasing soon >> Read More... ’ a magazine show for teens. Her first big interview was with the famous American Rapper, Ice-T (aka Tracy Lauren Marrow).

While majoring in Political Science at the University of California in Berkely, SuChin was approached by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) for a science related show, ‘ Newton Click to look into! >> Read More... ’s Apple’. Years later she caught the attention of America’s most famous entertainment channel, MTV. In 2001, SuChin joined MTV as its first Asian correspondent. She hosted a variety of award shows and TV shows for MTV before quitting in 2008.

She is the famous narrator behind the popular show ‘MTV Cribs’. SuChin Pak got married to Mike Bender on 24th March 2012. They had their first son together on June 2012. Pak has also acted in ‘Deck The Halls’ which was released in 2006 and ‘The Rocker’ which came out in 2008.
