Luke Kenny has been the face of music in India for over two decades now. He is the most bankable VJ in India. In one word to sum up his talent in video jockeys performance, it would be easy and simple if we mention that Luke Kenny was the first male VJ for music channel V. That is his introductory as VJ in India. He joined VJ clubs as he worked as Video Jockey in between 1993-1995. Later, he again rejoined his service as VJ in Channel V in early 2005, when he presented the show titled ‘Luke’s After Hours’. In this program, he selected a section of music videos that he played on the channel. He was always attracted to glamor world since his childhood days. He was a drop out of college in 1991 and tried to become a dancer.

He joined his dancing career as a chorus dancer for Arshad Warsi's dance team and later went to become an assistant choreographer in his team in the year 1990-1992. The anchor was born in Calcutta and soon moved to Mumbai when he was just three months old. His mother was an Italian; his grandfather was a British and his father an Indian. Thus, he had a heritage of Italian and British culture in his look and personality. He began his musical journey at a young age. He grew up in Bombay, had his elementary and secondary education and lived in Thane. He began his acting career in 1991 when left his studies to grab an opportunity to play the character of Lord Jesus in a musical interpretation of ‘The Passion of the Christ’.

He gave his vocal too for this music. Later, in 1998, he was elevated to the post of head of music programming on V channel, and he was active in the post till 2008. In 1997, he featured in the first movie in his career named ‘Bombay Boys’ where he played a role of leader of a rock band. In 2005-06, he launched his production company called Kenny Films Pvt Ltd for which he made his first film ‘13th Floor’ that was 90 minutes duration. In 2006, he also had directed three musical videos.

In October 2008, he even hosted a great show 'Rock On For Humanity Concert, which benefited the Nargis Dutt Memorable Charitable Trust.
