Timothy S. Guinee was born on 18th November 1962. He is a theater, television, and feature film actor from the United States. Guinee hails from Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Texas and Illinois. He is the youngest among the four siblings, with two brothers and two sisters. Guinee attended the elite "Houston High School" of Performing and Visual Arts for his primary and secondary studies. He is the founder of a theater troupe in Texas.

He graduated and debuted as a film actor. Guinee met Daisy Foote, his future wife, in 1996 at the set of “Hallmark Hall of Fame: Lily Dale.” He wrote his adaptation of "Lily Dale" for the film. The movie earned an “Academy Award” in 1962.
Guinee is well-known for his role as Tomin in the “Stargate SG-1” television series. He won a “Golden Globe Award” for his performance as record producer Sam Phillips in the Golden Globe-winning miniseries "Elvis." in 2005. Guinee played Ben Matheson in the famous movie “Revolution.” He also portrayed the character of a railroad entrepreneur “Collis Huntington” in AMC's “Hell on Wheels” as a regular cast member. From 6th November 2011 to 23rd July 2016, “Hell on Wheels” aired on AMC.
Guinee featured in various television series, including “24, Blue Bloods (2016), Bones (2016), Castle, The Closer (2010), Covert Affairs, Criminal Minds, Elementary, The Following (2015), Friday Night Lights, Fringe, Ghost Whisperer, Golden Years. His other TV shows include “The Practice, The Outer Limits, The Mentalist Pilot, Without a Trace, The West Wing, Strange World, and Lie to Me.”
Guinee contributed to various movies like “American Blue Note (1989), Chain of Desire (1992), Men of War, Courage Under Fire (2006), Blade (1998), The Young Girl and the Monsoon (1999), Ladder 49 (2004), and Sweet Land (2005).” His other works include “Broken English (2007), Iron Man (2008), A Buddy Story (2010), Water for Elephants (2011), Just Like a Woman (2012), The Pardon (2013), Two Men in Town (2014), Ben is Back (2018), and Ash (2019).”
