Joseph Connor Phillips, known best for his role as U.S Navy LT Martin Kendall on the popular NBC series The Cosby Show and Justus Ward on the TV soap opera General Hospital is an American actor, writer, and conservative Christian commentator. His date of birth is 17th January in the year 1962 in Denver, Colorado, in the United States. He was a child when he lost his mother. Now, married to Nicole Phillips, he has three sons, Connor, Ellis, and Samuel. Joseph started his career with the TV sitcom The Cosby Show in 1989 and continued his show until 1991. From 1994 to 1998, he played the role of Justus Ward in General Hospital,which earned him three consecutive nominations in the NAACP Image Awards for “Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series” from 1997-1999. Phillips’ did his higher education at the University of The Pacific, where he majored in Communications.

Later he shifted to New York University band graduated in 1983 with a BFA degree in acting. Joseph is an active member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and an ambassador for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. He became a part of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Screen Actors Guild, and Actors Equity Association. Joseph Phillips is not only a brilliant actor or writer but also a television and radio commentator. He writes on conservative family values and limited government in a syndicated column every week. In 2006, he published a book called He Talk Like a White Boy,where he mocks the positive action taken on same-sex marriage by the United States.
