John Aylesworth was an eminent personality who gave a lot of incredible work to the industry. He was a famous Canadian television writer, producer, comedian, and actor. His brilliant credits include The Julie Andrews Hour (1972), The Sonny and Cher Show (1976), and Hee Haw Honeys (1978).

He was born on August 18, 1928, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as John Bansley Aylesworth to Fredrick and Marie Aylesworth. His early life was a bit complicated, as he didn’t complete his high schooling and joined an advertising business as a writer, working alongside Frank Peppiatt. After some time, they declared themselves as the comedy team of Peppiatt and Aylesworth, and they became the first television comedy team in Canada. They attained immense fame and wrote and performed on numerous CBC programs, like The Big Revue and On Stage. John released his book named The Corn Was Green: The Inside Story The inside story is a show that was aired in NDTV >> Read More... of Hee in 2010, which was published by McFarland & Company and received a warm, positive response from the audience and assisted him in landing various other opportunities. Just like that, they continued on their journey and wrote for several television programs, including The Jonathan Winters Show, The Judy Garland Show, Kraft Music Hall, and Your Hit Parade, and they also received Emmy Award nominations for The Julie Andrews Hour in 1973, and in 1976 for The Sonny and Cher Show. His hard work and dedication made him famous among fans around the world.

Additionally, they were seen working on a stage musical as well, titled "DURANTE", which revolved around the life of Jimmy Durante and was played in numerous cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Toronto. Moreover, he could not find work as a television writer in his later years and eventually gave up hope in the 1980s. Talking about his personal life, he was married to Anita Rufus and had six children, namely, Linda, Robert, Cynthia, John, Bill Aylesworth, and Thomas. Unfortunately, he couldn't survive and subsequently died on July 28, 2010, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California, because of some critical problems of pneumonia as a complication of pulmonary fibrosis.
