Jesse Tyler Ferguson is a well-known American actor who is recognized all over the world for his many talents. His works have gained acknowledgment from people all around the world. Tyler is best known for depicting Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom ‘Modern Family’ (2009–2020), which won him five successive nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in Comedy Series and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

He was born on October 22, 1975, in Missoula, Montana, the U.S, to Anne Ferguson (née Doyle) and Robert "Bob" Ferguson. His parents were divorced when he was 18 years old. He has two siblings, a brother named Ben Ferguson and a sister named Kelly Ferguson. He did his schooling at one of the prestigious schools and later went to University to complete his further education. After that, he attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City. Tyler has worked mainly in Off-Broadway, and Broadway theatre, along with the Tony Award-winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, where he discovered the character of Leaf Coneybear. He was also featured in the Public Theater's 2007, Shakespeare in the Park production of ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’, and the 2015 production of ‘ The Tempest Click to look into! >> Read More... ’.

In the meantime, he portrayed Sir Robin in the Hollywood Bowl production of ‘Monty Python's Spamalot’. All of this gave him an immense amount of love and attention from fans all throughout the world. Later on, in March 2012, he was cast as Dr. Ilan Meyer in an act of ‘Dustin Lance Black's play 8’, a staged reenactment of Perry v. Brown, this federal trial that reversed California's Proposition 8 ban on same-sex marriage. Furthermore, Tyler was one among the vast ensemble cast on the short-lived CBS sitcom ‘The Class’, playing Richie Velch. Also, Ferguson was featured in the 2008 thriller movie, ‘Untraceable’. 

From 2009 to 2020, he has been seen playing the character of Mitchell Pritchett, the gay lawyer on the ABC satire ‘Modern Family’. He earned five consecutive Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Additionally, he was featured as a judge on the show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and alongside actress Chrissy Metz in an episode of TBS's ‘Drop the Mic’ in 2017. He has been known for his work in the industry, due to which he is admired by his fans.
