Ian Reed Kesler is an American actor and director known chiefly for the shows Kickin’ It, aired on Disney XD, Disney Channel’s Sydney To The Max, Suits, and the film 500 Days of Summer.

Born on February 13, 1977, in Birmingham, Michigan, Kesler pursued graduation at Albion College in 1999. When he was merely thirteen years of age, Kesler co-hosted a television show for children and teenagers on WKBD-T, Detroit. The series, known as What’s Up?, aired for five years and led to Kesler’s four year nomination as Best Program Talent for Regional Emmy Award.

The America-born actor graced the cover of Yahoo Internet Life in 2001and has featured in television commercials for Twix, AT&T, and Hotels.com.

The movies bagged the titles for Best Original Screenplay, Best Screenplay at Satellite Awards, and Independent Spirit Awards.

Kesler features as Sensei Ty in the 2011 comedy television series Kickin’ It, created by Jim O’Doherty. The Disney XD show features Dylan Riley, Leo Howard, Mateo Arias, and Olivia Holt.

The series focuses on a martial arts academy which is considered to be incompetent compared to others of its kind. Tto train the underperforming students of the academy, a coach is hired who teaches them about Karate and other things.

 Suits is a legal drama show launched on USA Network in 2011, where Ian features as Stu Buzzini, a financial exchange broker. Produced under the Universal Cable Productions banner, the show is set against the backdrop of an imaginary law firm, situated in New York City, which has a law associate Mike Ross working for it.

The show secured a nod for two People’s Choice Awards and bagged a Male Actor in a Drama Series at Screen Actors Guild Awards. It also received Outstanding Performance in a Television Series at the NHMC Impact Awards.

Sydney to the Max, a comedy television series, is a 2019 show telecast on Disney Channel and conceived by Mark Reisman. Produced under It’s a Laugh Productions, the series stars Ava Kolker, Ruth Righi, and Jackson Dollinger.

The show tracks the life of a twelve-year-old girl who lives with her father and grandmother in Portland. It also focuses on her life at school, along with her best friend. At the same time, it also revolves around the life of a boy, in retrospect, who works at a shopping mall complex of his friend, who himself works there.

In the series, Ian essays the role of Adult Max Reynolds, a caring father of the girl who also owns a bike shop. Reynolds has brought up his daughter on his own since the passing away of his wife.
