Soma Chakraborty

Soma Chakraborty is an Indian film actress known for her work in Bengali cinema. Her debut film Apanjan came out in 1968 but her next movie Adhikar released after quite a while in 1992. Following this movie, she went on to star in several movies like Rakter Swad (1993), Kahini(1995), Lal Darja(1997), Hemanter Pakhi(2001), and Dekha(2001). Soma Chakraborty had also produced and acted in her film Tushagni, released in 2019.

She has expanded her branch into story writing as well. Her story written film The Darling Wife will release in 2022. She has worked alongside Rupali Chakraborty and Debesh Roy Chowdhury in Suvendu Ghosh’s film Shunyota. Under Narottam Prasad Sil’s direction, she acted in the movie Gobhir Gopan Brisht in 2018. Her other movies include Pappur Biye, Thikana Bridhyasram, Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti, and Abhagir Sargo.
