Surangana Bandyopadhyay is a Bengali actor who has bagged roles in movies and TV serials. Early life Bandyopadhyay started her career as a child artist as a dancer. Surangana, at the age of nine, participated in a dance show Dance Bangla Dance where she got through the semifinals. She studies at Julien Day School. Career Surangana made her debut by being a part of a dance reality show at the age of nine. Her debut movie was Aainate, which was directed by Dulal Dey.

She got the opportunity to work in several Bengali films during 2008-2014, but she did not get the kind of attention which she should have. It was after the movie Open Tee Bioscope released that she came into the Limelight and caught the attention of the audience. She also played the lead role in a TV serial Durga. Surangana acted flawlessly in the series.
