Saheb Bhattacharya

Saheb Bhattacharya is a household name in Kolkata for his popularity that he gained for his appearance, in reality, shows in various Bengali channels. He was the face of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champ shows aired in Zee Bangla. Afterward, when an another charming actor Jisshu replaced him, Saheb got another chance to host and promote another reality show - Jhalak Dikhla Ja. However, this handsome young lad burst in Bengali cinema horizon like a breath of fresh air. His innocent, next-door boy image had impressed many filmmakers. Plus, he had the talent to emote spontaneously before a camera.

Saheb made his debut with Satyajit Ray’s son Sandip Ray’s film ‘Gorosthane Sabdhan’ (2010) which had Sabyasachi Chakraborty playing the role Feluda and Saheb narrating the role of Feluda’s assistant Tapse. In this film even Tinu Anand, Dhirtiman Chatterje had appeared but as a debut actor Saheb impressed everyone. The film did manage to win critics’ appreciation. He also played the role of Chiring Thapa from Sikkim in the film 'RUU’ which was like a travelogue movie with an excellent cinematography.

Saheb also had a very prominent role in a film ‘Damadol ‘(2013) where he played one of the three main characters who dreamt of becoming a filmmaker. He was crowned the title of heartthrob of the tinsel town. He has somehow managed to maintain the looks and the roles throughout the years. He is excellent as a TV host still.
