Ankush Hazra was born on 14 of February 1989. His birthplace is Bardhaman, West Bengal, India. However, his family belongs to Dhaka, Bangladesh who shifted to West Bengal during the partition. Currently, he resides in Kolkata. He completed his primary and secondary education from the Holy Rock School, Bardhaman and East West Model School. After completing his school, he entered a university in Durgapur to continue his higher studies in Electronic Engineering.

Since childhood, he loved acting and dreamt of becoming an actor since then.. After completing university studies, he moved to Kolkata. Before he stepped into the cinema, he learnt acting from an acting school at Bhowanipore, under the guidance of Pijus Saha. He has also learned dancing under Bivash Chowdhury. An experiencewhich he obtained from the Bivash Academy of Dance was very helpful to his career as an actor. Also, he obtained a BBA degree from The Heritage Academy in Kolkata.

In the year 2010, he debuted with the film named “Kellafate” in Bengali cinema. The performance of Ankush was significant throughout the movie. Hence, he was awarded with the best dancer award in Big Bangla Rising Star Award Ceremony.
