Mrinal Mukherjee had worked for more than five decades in the Bengali television and film industry. In early 60’s, he commenced his film and television journey. In 1955, he marked his acting debut with the Bengali film “Dui Bon.” Since then, he performed several of commercial movies and played crucial roles.

He acted with famous directors in number of films like Galpo Holeo Satti (1966), Nayika Sangbad (1967), Chuti, Shriman Prithviraj (1973), and many more. The veteran film and television actor Mrinal Mukherjee passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in Kolkata after battling from liver cancer. He was even diagnosed with jaundice and geriatric issues. He died at the age of seventy-four.
