Bikash Roy was a famous Indian actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter mainly known for his exceptional work in the Bengali film industry. He was born on 16 May 1916 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India, in a prosperous and aristocratic family. Bikash completed his matriculation from Mitra Institution and later joined the University of Calcutta (Presidency College) to pursue a Bachelor of Arts.
