Michael L. Fleiss, commonly known as Mike Fleiss is a writer and producer best known for the creation of The Bachelor. Mike was born on April 14, 1964, in Fullerton, California, USA. He is an Aries. He is Heidi Fleiss’s second cousin. Heidi Fleiss is a former madam and columnist famous during the 1990s. He had a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy.

He married to Daphne Alexandra Vorbeck, a high school sweetheart in the year 1988, but they got divorced in 2012 after 24 years of marriage. In 2014, Mike married Laura Kaeppeler. She is 2012 Miss America. They have a child together named Benjamin, born in the year 2015.

During early professional years, Mike was a writer specializing in sports for various newspapers in North California. In 1991, he came to Los Angeles. He was a researcher of the show ‘Secrets Revealed’ in 1993. He is the executive producer of High School Reunion and The Bachelor since 1988. Along with Nash Entertainment’s producer Bruce Nash, Mike produced ‘Before They Were Stars’ and ‘Breaking The Magician’s Code: 1, 2 and 3’ in 1993. Mike also has written comedy books, ‘Hollywood With An Attitude’ and ‘Sports With An Attitude.’ Mike established Next Entertainment in the year 1999.

He produces TV shows under Next’s banner. His biggest TV show is The Bachelor released on 22 March 2002. He is the writer and creator of the show as well. He also produced ‘The WB’s Superstar USA.’ His other famous venture is the Bachelorette which first aired in 2002. He is also associated with ‘Who Wants To Marry a Multi-Millionaire?’ and Bachelor in Paradise. Love at First Kiss, H&R, The Cougar, etc, is produced by Mike. He has produced movies like ‘the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: the Beginning,’ Poseidon, Hostel (1, 2, and 3), Shark Night 3D, etc.

As a director, Mike has done few movies like The Other One which is a movie on Bob Weir, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, etc. He was accused of harassing David Charvet of Baywatch and wife, Brooke Burke in November 2014. In 2014, Mike won The Best Documentary Feature for the documentary movie, The Other One at the prestigious San Francisco International Film Festival. He also had a nomination at Copenhagen International Documentary Festival for sound and vision award for his movie God Bless Ozzy Osbourne with Mike Piscitelli in the year 2011.
