Tamil Awards SIIMA Awards 2022

The 10th celebration of the SIIMA Awards, short for 'South Indian International Movie Awards', celebrates the beautiful contributions to the Tollywood industry by felicitating the people and the project i.e. the films. The star-studded event was held in Bengaluru, Palace Ground,  from 10-11 September 2022. The award ceremony aims to honor the most impressive contributions in the form of films, movies, etc, to the Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu industries.

The nominations for the year 2022 were announced on 17 August 2022. The event was organized by Vibri Media Group. On the 10th,  the first day, the Telugu and Kannada industry felicitated their talent, while on the second day, the Malayalam and Tamil industries celebrated themselves.

The show was telecasted on Sun TV, Gemini TV, Surya TV, and Udaya TV. The Telugu industry awarded valuable actors, actresses, and films, which were released throughout the year. Most nominations and awards were taken by the thrilling movie Pushpa: The Rise. There is no doubt that it was the most-loved movie of 2022. The film revolves around the life of a laborer named Pushpa, who makes enemies as he rises in the world of red sandalwood smuggling. However, violence erupts when the police attempt to bring down his illegal business.

With this unique storyline, the film won 8 Awards from 12 Nominations. The Kannada industry's best film was Garuda Gamana, Vrishabha Vahana,  which focuses on poverty, politics, and corruption. Puneet Rajkumar got the title of the best actor for his film Yuvarathnaa. Ashika Ranganath, for her movie Madhagaja, became this year's best actress in the Kannada industry. Actor Dhananjaya received the most nominations this year; he was nominated as Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Negative Actor.

The best film in the Malayalam industry was Minnal Murali and Sarpatta Parambarai of the Tamil industry. Sivakarthikyan received the Best Actor award for Doctor, an excellent Tamil movie. Telugu's best women were also appreciated, and their work was highly recognized.
