Krithi Shetty

Krithi Shetty is an actress born on 21^st September 2003. She hails from a Tulu-speaking family in Mangalore. Krithi is the only child of KrishnaShetty, a businessman, and Neethi Shetty, a fashion designer. Krithi started her career as a model in various commercials while she was still studying in school. Her debut in the film industry came with “Super 30,” the Bollywood film led by Hrithik Roshan. Krithi played a student in the film. Her debut as the lead actress was in the 2021 Telugu film, “Uppena,” directed by Buchi Babu Sana. She played the role of Sangeetha, daughter of Kotagiri Sesha Raayanam, played by Vijay Sethupathi. The same year, he shared the screen space with “Nani” and Sai Pallavi in Shyam Singha Roy.

While making her debut as the lead actress, Krithi was 17. She enrolled in MBBS, but due to her busy work schedule, she quit the course and joined psychology.  

 In 2022, the actress was seen in four films and one of them is her Tamil debut, The Warriorr, directed by “N Lingusamy.” It is a Tamil – Telugu bilingual film with Ram Pothineni in the lead role.

In 2022, she won the Best Female Debut – South award at the Filmfare Awards South and the Best Female Debut – Telugu award at the South Indian International Movie Awards. In 2023, she worked in another Tamil – Telugu bilingual film, “Custody,” directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film has Naga Chaitanya as the male lead, with whom she already shared the screen space in “Bangarraju.” In 2024, Krithi made her Malayalam debut with Tovino Thomas in Ajayante Randam Moshanam. Jithin Lal directed the film. The same year, she had a bunch of Tamil and Telugu films, including Vaa Vaathiyaar with Karthik Sivakumar, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, Love Insurance Corporation with Pradeep Ranganathan, directed by Vignesh Shivan, “Genie” with Jayam Ravi and Kalyani Priyadarshan, and “Manamey” with “Sharwanand.”

She also appeared on Zee Telugu to promote the serial Muthyamantha Muddu.
