Like the first season, Mohanlal hosted the second season of the show. The show started on 5 January 2020. It aired for 1.30 hours a day. It was canceled in the middle due to the CoronaVirus pandemic. The show started with the entry of all the housemates in the show. There were 23 housemates introduced in the season. The house includes a single bedroom, four bathrooms, a gym, a swimming pool, an activity area, and a living room. These housemates have to live together and do all the household chores by themselves. They should not destroy any property of the Bigg Boss house, and they can not misuse anything in the house. They are not supposed to hit any of the contestants. They are not allowed to write anything on the paper or book, and they are also not allowed to take phones with them. They always have to wear a mic, and more than 50 cameras were there in the house to monitor their activity.

Every week one of the contestants was eliminated by the host of the show. This elimination occurred according to the votes given by the viewers. Members who got maximum votes got eliminated from the show. The house has no phone, internet, or TV connection. Later that week, Fukru and Rajith get into a fight, and one kicks another on the chest. They both were sent to jail for their behavior. And the show is canceled due to COVID 19 after that episode. There is no winner in the second season of the show.
