is a comedy reality TV show in Malayalam language. The comedy show named Vodafone Comedy Show in aired on the popular Malayalam entertainment channel Asianet. The show is being telecast on Asianet TV every Friday from 8:00 pm onwards. The show is highly popular and enjoyable among the audiences. Top notch telecom company Vodafone is the sponsor of the show and hence the name Vodafone Comedy stars. The format of the Vodafone Comedy stars is that of a comedy reality show where there is a judge’s panel, an anchor or host and various teams. Each team comprises of 3-4 participants and at the end of the show one team is declared the winner. The format of the show is in same line with national channel Sony TV’s Comedy Circus.
The run time of the show is around 60 minutes per episode. For a team to be considered to progress in the next rounds the total weightage is a combination of audience’s vote through mobile text messages and phone call and a combined scores from the judges. Vodafone Comedy star’s main aim is to discover the best comedians cross Kerala. The show focuses on the ability of the performers and the team’s to perform and entertain the judges and the audiences. The show has been now airing for almost 2 years and the first season was won by Team VIP.
