Manju Pathrose

ManjuPathrose is an Indian actress who hails from Kizzakkhambalam, Kochi, Kerala. She was born on 26th February 1986 and grew up pursuing her love for dance. She participated in various dance shows. She is married to Sunil Bernard- a percussionist and they have a son named Ed Bernard. She has appeared in over 30 Malayalam films and various television shows. She made her acting debut with the 2003 film Chakram, directed by A.K Lohithadas. Interestingly, film-makers approached her after they saw pictures of her from one of her dance shows.

She secured the role of the villain’s wife- Madhavi. Since 2013, her acting career has been thriving as she has acted in many films and as well as multiple TV shows. Her first appearance on television was when she participated in the second season of the couples reality show Veruth eAlla Bharya on Mazhavil Manorama in 2012. This participation turned out essential for her career, and she landed herself with her first television acting role on an established show Marimayam. She portrayed the character of Shyamala and won the Best Comedian (Special Jury) award at Flowers Television Awards in 2017.

After that, she went on to act in a plethora of TV shows such as Kudumbakodathy, SuharayumSuhasiniyum, and Mayamohini.AliyanVsAliyan, a show in which she played a prominent character, received the Special Jury Award at Kerala State Television Awards in 2017. Manju was also a contestant in Bigg Boss Malayalam 2 in 2020. She got evicted on the 48th day.

She has acted in two short films Avalodoppam and Meera. Currently, she has hervlog channel called ‘ Blackies’on YouTube, along with Simi Sabu. The vlog series followsManju and Simi on various journeys and experiences that they explore. Currently, the channel has 120K subscribers. Before becoming an actress, Manju was a teacher in a private school. She enjoys traveling, reading, and writing and hopes to play a strong role in a film someday.
