Nandini is a middle-aged woman who was abandoned by her husband. Her husband remarries and has a daughter with his second wife. After years, in an argument, his second wife slips from the balcony and dies. As she was holding the hands of her husband, it was wrongly assumed that he purposely killed her, and hence he was imprisoned. His daughter Meenakshi is a minor, and he can’t leave her alone. So, he leaves Meenakshi in the custody of Nandini, his first wife, who is caring. However, Meenakshi hates Nandini, as she thinks Nandini is the reason for her mother’s death. How they develop a great bonding, and help each other in their lives form the rest of the story.
