Asianet Film Awards is the most distinguished event in the Malayalam film industry where the partisans of Malayalam Cinema gather every year for rewarding their Best work and witnessing a night of celebration and extravaganza. The ceremony for 9th Asianet Film Awards took place in Chandrashekharan Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on 28th January 2007. A large number movie fans had gathered in the stadium to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars. On this occasion were present the stalwarts of Malayalam Cinema to recognize and reward the remarkable work accomplished by their costars in the year 2006.
