Bhama Rekitha Rajendra Kurup, famously known as Bhama is a well-known face of the Kannada and Malayalam films. Born to Rajendra and Shylaja Kurup, this actress completed her studies from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Manacard, Kottayam district of Kerala. She also has two other siblings, Reshmitha and Renjitha. Later, she pursued her Bachelors in Sociology too and resides in Kochi presently. Previously an anchor of the Tv show Thaali, she got a break in acting by the director Lohithadas in the romantic movie Nivedyam which luckily got her the Award for the Best Pair in 2007. There was no looking back form here and she continued enthralling the audience with her splendid performances in movies like Hareendran Oru Nishkalankan where played the role of the protagonist’s girlfriend. She also did several Malayam films like Kadhavidu which shaped her career well. By 2015, she had done five Malayam films. Further, she even acted in a Christian devotional album.

She also got the opportunity to work with directors like Vinayan and Raju Babu which got her with many Awards including the Vanitta Nippon Award for the best newcomer. Apart from her marvelous acting skills, she has also been gifted with a lovely voice and has done justice to it through playback singing for several songs. Her list of songs includes the title track for the children’s movie Meow Meow Karimppoocha, a song in the movie 100 Degree Celsius. In fact, she also sang for the devotional album Maaya Madhavam(2009). However, a song “Kannil Kannil” from the movie titled Bike was never released. Embedded with talents, the actress is also quite passionate about interior designing and also enrolled herself in a course for which she took a sabbatical from acting in the year, 2015. Having always kept a clean image off screen, she was once reported dating Telugu actor Rajeev, music composer Koti’s son. At present, she hardly comes in the limelight for her personal relations.
