Bhama Rekitha Rajendra Kurup, famously known as Bhama is a well-known face of the Kannada and Malayalam films. Born to Rajendra and Shylaja Kurup, this actress completed her studies from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Manacard, Kottayam district of Kerala. She also has two other siblings, Reshmitha and Renjitha. Later, she pursued her Bachelors in Sociology too and resides in Kochi presently. Previously an anchor of the Tv show Thaali, she got a break in acting by the director Lohithadas in the romantic movie Nivedyam which luckily got her the Award for the Best Pair in 2007. Apart from her marvelous acting skills, she has also been gifted with a lovely voice and has done justice to it through playback singing for several songs. Her list of songs includes the title track for the children’s movie Meow Meow Karimppoocha, a song in the movie 100 Degree Celsius. In fact, she also sang for the devotional album Maaya Madhavam(2009). However, a song “Kannil Kannil” from the movie titled Bike was never released. Bhagyanjali is a relatively new face in South Indian Film Industry. She has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam industry.  Not many people in the industry are aware that ‘Bhagyanjali’ is not her real name. Her real name is Anjali.  Bhagyanjali was born in the year 1984 in a small district in Central Kerala. She completed her graduation from NSS College in Tripunithura. Since her college days, she used to take up small modeling assignments for pocket money. Her freelance modeling was so impressive that it grabbed the attention of many in the entertainment industry.  Small modeling projects landed her a role of an anchor at Asianet. She was never short of work. Opportunities started coming just one after another. By this time, she had a few stage shows and TV shows. She had also acted in five albums. Bhagyanjali started endorsing top brands on national television. She acted in seventy-five advertisements. Bhagyanjali became youth’s icon. Her personality and talent were the reason for her to get into the film world.  She was offered a small role in a Malayalam Film opposite Biju Menon.  After that, there was no stopping.
