, and Nidhish Kutty play the lead roles in the drama. Abhi Matte Nanu narrates the heartbreaking tale of a child and her connection with her long-lost mother. Abhi is the eight-year-old daughter of Saravanan, who works as the driver of an affluent household. Saravanan’s employers Meena and Shiva are kind people. They have a son Mukhil.
The story follows Abhi and Meena as they bond together in a beautiful unnamed relationship. With time, it turns out that Abhi is Meena, and Shiva’s biological daughter abandoned for astrological predictions had deemed her as an ill-fate bearer, who would be responsible for the death of her parents once she turns nine years old. The story has instances of jealousy from Mukhil, the spoilt son of Meena, for Abhi grabs her attention. Also, Rajeshwari is Mukhil’s grandmother, and she dislikes the growing closeness between mother and daughter. Added to all these Girija, Shiva’s sister is obnoxious and wants her family’s money and dislikes Abhi, Meena, and the fact that the family has a matriarch, Rajeshwari.
