Indian Television Academy Awards 2011 had been held at the Yashraj Studios, in Mumbai. This year witnessed all-time high entries of one thousand and eight hundred in number. The set had been decorated to give an authentic palatial feel. The theme of this year’s ceremony had been set to be “Celebrations”. Along with famous television artists, the presence of Bollywood superstars earmarked the eleventh anniversary of this awards ceremony. Huge personalities, like Shri Dharmendra Deol, Shri Amitabh Bachchan, Mr. Farhan Akhtar, Shri Shatrughan Sinha, and much more, graced the main event with their presence. A total number of forty celebrities had taken part in the performances shown during the ceremony, making it a true celebration, as its theme had been designed.

The Best Interstitial or Filler was given to Tedhi Medhi Baatein (MASTI 2). The Best TV Documentary was awarded to 30 Minutes, by Sampa's Diary CNN- IBN. The Best Historical or Mythological Serial was subjected to Chandragupt Maurya. The Best Television Event was given to Star Parivaar Awards Macau, by Cineyug Worldwide. The Best Reality Show was awarded to Just Dance. The Best Child Artist was awarded to Rushiraj Pawar, for Chandragupt Maurya.

The Best Anchor in Talk or Chat Show was given to Koel Purie, for On the Couch with Koel. The Best Anchor Game or Quiz Show was subjected to Amitabh Bachchan, for Kaun Banega Crorepati. The Best Director in Comedy was awarded to Dharam Verma, for Laapataganj. The Best Actor in Comedy was given to Cyrus Broacha, for The Week That Wasn't. The Best Actor in a Supporting Role was awarded to Anup Soni (Bhairon), for Balika Vadhu. The Best Actress in a Supporting Role was subjected to Bhairavi Raichura (Rajni), for Sasuraal Genda Phool. The Best Children's Program was given to MAD, by Turner International (India) Pvt. Ltd. The Best Cookery Show was awarded to Secret Kitchen, by CNN-IBN. The Best Anchor in Music or Film-based show was given to Ayushman Khurana, for Just Dance. The Best Serial in Comedy was subjected to Laapataganj, by Garima Productions. The Best Actress in Comedy was awarded to Kavita Kaushik (Chandramukhi), for FIR. The Best Actor in a Negative Role was given to Shiv Sybramaniyam (Mr. Virani), for Mukti Bandhan. The Best Thriller or Horror Serial was awarded to Girls Day Out, by Miditech Pvt.Ltd. The Best Mini-Series was subjected to Save India's Coast (NDTV INDIA). The Best Travel-based Show was given to Ten Things to Do Before you Say Bye, by Shibani Sharma Khanna,NDTV Lifestyle Ltd. The Best Serial in Drama was awarded to Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, by Balaji Telefilm Ltd. The Best Actress in a Negative Role was awarded to Mona Ambegoankar (Roshni), for Maryaada Lekin Kab Tak.
