Registrations for the programme started from 16th February 2011 through SMS, Phone calls etc. auditions were held in various cities in India and abroad. Just Dance format was quite simple and similar to other dancing reality shows. Contestants were called for the audition rounds through registration process. The best dancers were chosen by Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant for the HR bracelet. Finally Hrithik Roshan chose 52 dancers across the world. Just dance competition began with these dancers. They competed with each other for the coveted title of the ultimate dance champion. Just dance show name was based on the most popular song of Lady Gaga-Just dance from the Fame Album. Produced by Sol productions, the shew was shot across 30 episodes.
