The movie was released on 23 February, the same day as Vidyut Jammwal’s ‘Crakk: Jeetega toh Jiyegaa’. Despite facing multiple movies, including the much talked about ‘Shaitaan’, ‘Article 370’ not only impressed audiences but also the critics, who praised the movie for its slick, no nonsense approach.

Despite the negative campaign by a section of intellectuals, ‘Article 370’, which was made on a low budget of 20 crores, went on to earn more than 90 crores through domestic collections, and almost 111 crores in overall collections. “Article 370” is also one of the very few commercial successes, where the female stars carry the narrative on their shoulders.
