Plot

Sathya, a Kabaddi player, is married to Shruti. The story starts with Sathya’s arrest. Sathya was arrested by the cops for murdering his wife. Shruti’s father doesn’t know why Sathya murdered his daughter as they had no heated arguments, earlier. However, Sathya didn’t open up anything. Prakash, a sincere cop has been appointed to find out the mystery in the case. Prakash searches for Shruti’s body, which went missing. If her body is found out, it might help Sathya, feels Prakash. Meanwhile, Sathya is transferred to Goa prison. There Sathya meets the prison warden Albert, who is the brother of Peter. Peter was killed by Sathya during a Kabbadi match. What happens next? Watch it in theaters!

Star Performance

Sachin Joshi has given out an okayish performance. Kishore, Prabhu and Sathish have done their parts well, as usual.

Analysis

Tatineni Satya has chosen a script that is a mixture of various genres. Yes, the movie has a sports genre, mystery and also the masala formula. The narration by Satya is okayish, but it didn't satisfy the viewers. It was said that the film is bilingual. But, except the scenes involving Prabhu, Sathish and Kishore, all the other scenes seems to have been shot in Telugu and dubbed in Tamil.

What’s There?

  • Performance of the supporting stars is good
  • Background music is okayish

What’s Not There?

  • Lead stars should have worked out a bit for better performance
  • Although the film comes with different genres, it is not executed properly.
  • As the lip synching is not good, we feel like watching a dubbed movie

Verdict

Although the story is different and the idea to implement is good, the director didn’t execute it in a pleasing way. With the excellent supporting cast, people expect more from the makers. But, Yaar Ivan didn’t touch the hearts!
