Esha Deol is an Indian film actress, who was born on November 2, 1981 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is the daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini, who also came from the same industry. Her sister Ahana Deol is an Odissi dancer, while her step siblings are Vijeeta, Ajeeta, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. Bobby and Sunny were both successful actors as well. Esha studied at Mithibai College in Mumbai. She was keen about football and was a midfielder. Esha was also the captain of the football team in her school and she was represented at the state level. Like her sister Ahana, she is also a trained Odissi dancer under Guru Rabindra Atibuddhi and also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Esha was debuted in the 2002 Bollywood romance-thriller film Koi Mere Dil Se Poochee, where she earned praises and nomination at the Filmfare Awards for Best Female Debut. Her second film was entitled Na Tum Jaano Na Hum opposite Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. However, the film failed to make it to the box-office but she was still praised by her mature performance.
