During the promotion for his upcoming movie Kumki 2, the director talked about why most Indian filmmakers, irrespective of origin, are not making enough movies for the children. People are being exposed to too much gore and violence.

While Solomon has no problem with such movies, he feels that there should be space for all kinds of movies. He hopes that other people will take note of the same.

Prabhu Solomon is not completely wrong either. Two of the most unlikely successes in Tamil cinema have been either directly or indirectly connected to children. Prabhu Solomon last directed Sembi in 2022. Though the movie was not financially successful, it received appreciation for its devotion to social justice.
