Plot
Arumpon is the youngster, who is very much attached to his family. He is very much affectionate towards his sister Thulasi. Arumpon falls in love with Maangani, the village cutie. Meanwhile, Arumpon wants his sister to get married to a good fellow. Finally, her marriage happens with Ayyanar, who had already some issues with Arumpon. What will happens after Thulasi’s marriage? Will Ayyanar take revenge? Will Arumpon tie the knot with Maangani? Watch the film!
Star Performance
Sivakarthikeyan seems to have overacted a bit. Aishwarya Rajesh is good in her role. Anu Emmanuel’s lip-synching irks the audience. The rest of the stars have done what’s expected from them as per their screen presence.
Analysis
Pandiraj’s story is not a unique plot. It comes with its positives and negatives. Sivakarthikeyan has been getting ready to become a complete action hero, yet he doesn’t want to miss his family audience. Siva is popular for his natural performance. In NVP, he seems to have deviated from it slightly. Siva should play naturally like in his early stages of film entry. When it is a comedy scene, the over actions doesn’t matter. But if a sentimental scene is overacted, then it will spoil the essence of the scene. Siva should concentrate a bit to it. Imman’s songs are already hit. The cinematography is fantastic and the editing too. The climax impresses the audiences as usual in a Pandiraj movie. Once again Pandiraj speaks about the importance of joint families.

Namma Veettu Pillai is a complete family entertainer with romance, comedy and sentiments. Although the film has a few minuses, it is a one-time watch!
