Plot: Kaaval is the film that has the motive not only to entertain the people, but to say some useful message to the people. This director has taken a good story, while others are in the mood of creating romantic thrillers and horror movies. Producer “Punnagai Poo Geetha” is the heroine in the film.
This film reveals about the good police officers and their real battle against the evil people. Gautam Vasudev Menon has rendered his voice in narrating the story. With his narration, the people who watch the film listen to him with an extra interest. Deva who acts as Karna is the contract killer. He has control over the police station in his area. He has contacts with all the important political people and has a good relationship with them. As they use him often, he is very friendly with them. Samuthra Kani is the strict police officer who plans to encounter Karna, but the plan gets missed. With the help of Vimal, the son of a policeman, Samuthra Kani brings Karna out of his hiding place. Vimal does not know that he is tricked and used by Samuthra Kani. But the villain and his team suspect Vimal and they try to kill Vimal and his friends.
The Climax of the story brings the high expectation to the people, whether Samuthra Kani will be killed or the villain team will be destroyed. The Music is scored by G.V. Prakash, but it does not soothe the ears. Dialogues by the director Nagendran are absolutely a whip against the contract killers and he has also expressed the inefficiency of the public. M. S. Bhaskar has taken a negative role as the corrupted Police and Vimal is his son.
In Total, the film is a good attempt with the full effort given by Nagendran and Samuthra Kani.
