Plot
After the death of the former Indian Prime Minister RajivGandhi in 1991, many Sri Lankan refugees were imprisoned in Vellore Fort. Even after four years, they were not released. Maaran and Selvi are husband and wife. Selvi was pregnant when she was imprisoned. Now she is a mother of a girl, and the kid is growing up inside four walls without seeing the outer world. All these fort inmates are tortured by the prison authorities. A mute prisoner commits suicide, which escalates tension. In 1995, 43 people made a jailbreak amidst a huge rainstorm. What happened to them? Were they caught? The rest of the film speaks about this.
Star Performance
Yet another exemplary performance from Sasikumar. His body language, measured performance and dialogue delivery are astounding. Lijomol has got another good performing role. She shines well, despite the weak writing. Sudev excels in his role as an arrogant cop. His fiery eyes are perfect for an antagonist. Malavika, Bose Venkat, and Ramesh Khanna appear in short-lived roles.
Analysis
As it is a story based on real-life incidents, it needs authenticity. Sathyasiva might’ve researched well, yet the execution slips in a few scenes. Sasi and Sudev’s roles are written well. But, Lijomol and Malavika’s roles are a bit underwhelming. Both of these stunning performers’ roles should’ve been written with some more gripping elements. The escape in the climax looks cinematic. It should’ve been a bit authentic. If it is a fictional story, we can enjoy it; if it is a real-life story, we expect everything to be perfect and authentic. The music by Ghibran is pretty decent, and the visuals are good.

Verdict
Sasikumar has once again proved that he is a natural actor. If you expect the same feel-good movie as Tourist Family, you’ll be disappointed. Don’t expect much; if you love watching films with real-life stories, you may like it!
