Plot

A young lawyer, who is a fearless guy, is against a gangster in the city. He couldn’t control his anger when he sees injustice before his eyes. He has six elder sisters, who shower him with a lot of love and affection. His rage leads to a big mistake and the affected person takes revenge against him. What is the resultant of the retaliation? Who is getting affected now? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Gautham Karthik has tried a lot to gel in the role. His body language is good. He could have gone for a better hairstyle. Manjima Mohan had done what is needed for her role. Vinodhini played quite naturally and impresses the audiences. The rest of the cast played as directed by Muthaiah.

Analysis

The story is not new and it is very much predictable. Devarattam is similar to that of Muthaiah’s previous films. As usual, he had brought emotional scenes. Although those scenes are okayish, we could feel that they are much repetitive. Similarly, his films have an emotional character and that character will be the scapegoat. Songs and BGM are okayish and the cinematography is excellent. But, the script should have been different a bit. Only if Muthaiah changes his formula, it will be interesting to watch his next films. Otherwise, we would feel watching the same script with a different set of actors.

Verdict

Although Devarattam has a good set of actors with good performances, same old script and screenplay are the big hurdles. If Muthaiah had twisted the screenplay, it might have been an interesting watch!
