Plot

On August 15, a stunning robbery takes place in various parts of the city. The main thing in the robbery is the priceless Ashoka Chakra is looted from the recipients. So, a huge police force is employed to find out the criminals who looted the senior citizens. Chandru is an army man and his house is also one of the places that lost the Ashoka Chakra on the same day. Gayathri, an eminent IPS officer handle the case. Gayathri and Chandru join hands to find out the notorious criminals and reveal the reason for this huge theft.

Star Performance

Vishal is good in action sequences and fits well in the role. Shraddha Srinath didn’t get a meaty role. Yet, she did her part perfectly. Regina Cassandra plays a different role.

Analysis

The team seems to have planned to reshow the magic made by Irumbu Thirai Click to look into! >> Read More... . But, they could do it only partially. A lot of logical loopholes in the film make the audience lose their interest in a certain stage. Not all the characters are strongly depicted. Especially Regina’s Leela. After a point, her actions were not properly reasoned. Similarly, soon after the hero finds the villain, he easily resolves all the problems and that’s big cinema liberty. Many scenes seem unnecessary and could have been chopped off, and the run time would have been minimized. Yuvan’s BGM is good and the cinematography is pretty decent.

The screenplay needs some gripping elements

Verdict

Chakra would have been better if the writing had been gripping. However, the action sequences and Shraddha’s performance make the film a decent watch!
