Regina Cassandra is a film actress, who is noticeable in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies. She rose to fame in the film, Kanda NaalMudhal directed by V. Priya at the age 16. Regina was born on 13 December 1988. Her birthplace is Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her mother is from Karnataka, and her father is from North-India.

She is Christian as her grandfather is an Iyengar who converted to Christianity. Her grandmother is Anglo-Indian from Goa. Regina started anchoring when she was four years old on a children’s channel Splash. She was seen in many TV commercials during her school days. She debuted in the Kannada film Suryakaanti. Also, she made her Telugu movie debut with the film SMS (Shiva Manasulo Shruthi).

She received SIIMA Award for the Best Female Debutant in 2012 for her performance. For her first movie Kanda Naal Mudhal, she portrayed Latha, the 21-year-old pregnant sister of Laila's character. She was very young and wore no make-up which makes people find it hard to believe that she performed that role. She then appeared alongside Yogi in his debut film Azhagiya Asura, which won good reviews but failed to gain attention. Regina took time out from filming and went on to graduate in psychology from Women's Christian College, Chennai. During her break, she also acted in several short films. The most notable was Balaji Mohan's Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi alongside Adith Arun, which was later made into a feature film in 2012 under the same name. After her break, she was in the Kannada film Suryakaanti by director K. M. Chaitanya. The film featured her alongside actor Chetan.

As she could not speak Kannada, she was told to act out scenes in English and then dub it in Kannada later on. The film won good reviews and performed moderately at the box office. It was said that she would feature in the Tamil film Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey alongside Adith Arun. But the film got delayed and then restarted with a different cast. In 2012, the film Shiva Manasulo Shruti by Tatineni Sathya, which was a remake of the 2009 Tamil film Siva Manasula Sakthi gained her huge fame.

She next starred in a Telugu romantic-comedy film called Routine Love Story, opposite Sundeep Kishan. In 2013, she had two Tamil releases, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga by Pandiraj and Nirnayam. Despite the former being successful at the box office, she shifted her focus to Telugu films. Her first 2014 release was Kotha Janta directed by Maruthi. She got praises from the Deccan Chronicle. Her next releases were Ra Ra...Krishnayya and Power. Power was one of the biggest blockbusters of the year and a career marker for Regina in which she played a Bengali girl. She has played the lead role opposite Sai DharamTej in Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam directed by AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary.

Her first 2015 release was the heist thriller Rajathandhiram. The role was of an Anglo-Indian girl named Michelle D' Mello. Also, she starred in the movie “Subramanyam for Sale” which is a love story. Her look in the film was revealed through social media. She plays the lead role opposite Nara Rohit in Shankara, which has been in production since 2013 and is directed by Tatineni Satya. It is about to be released. Also, her upcoming movie is ' Shourya', which is directed by Dasarath. It is produced by Malkapuram Siva Kumar and casts Manchu Manoj as the male lead.
