Plot

Rahim is a movie enthusiast, who wants to make a film. So, he approaches Thoufeeq for a script and also meets Shereef, who is an actor. To make a movie, they had to get permission from their religious organization and finally, get a nod, as there are no scenes in the film violating their norms. Siraj is fixed as the director. The team picks actors from their religious organization. Shereef’s wife Suhra is approached to play the heroine and she accepts. In between the making of the film, Siraj finds out that the lead couple has some problems and he wants them to solve them soon. He tries to reconcile them with an intimate scene. But, the writer of the film opposes it, as it might hurt the sentiments of the rest of the members of their organization. Did they complete their halal film? Watch the movie to know the rest.

Star Performance

The stars portrayed their character well. Indrajith, Joju George, Grace and Sharaf fit well in their characters and rendered their best. Parvathy is perfect as usual even with her cameo appearance.

Analysis

The team has come with a beautiful story explaining the difficulties in filmmaking from the religious side. The characterization is neat and the stars are perfectly picked and they fit well in their roles. They had tried out an interesting film that doesn’t hurt the sentiments of the people. The cinematography and the BGM are neat. The production values and technical values are good. The production design is impressive and needs a special mention.

Verdict

With a handful of talented artists, Zakariya Mohammed has made a good movie. The film is definitely watch-worthy for its script, narration and performance.
