Aashiq Abu known for his work in Malayalam Cinema, is an Indian producer and Film Director. He was born to C. M. Abu and Jameela Abu on 12 April, 1978 in Edappally, Kerala, and completed his high school and graduation from SRV High School, Kochi and Maharajas College respectively.

in 2009. He directed 22 Female Kottayam and Da Thadiya Gangster in 2012 and also did a short movie called Lost In Bangalore. Aashiq was selected by the UAE exchange group to supervise their ad campaign and has done many ad films for Panasonic, Media One TV, Club 7 etc.
His own production house, Open Your Mouth, was launched in 2012. Abu’s movie Salt N Pepper won the Kerala State Film Award fot Popular Film and also the Best Director award.
