Bobby is a romantic entertainer with a different story plot. The film has Miya George in the lead role. Niranj plays the male lead. Aju Varghese, Sinoj Varghese, Pashanam Shaji, Hemanth Menon, Noby, Kalasala Babu, Sudheer Karamana and Shammi Thilakan are also in the star cast. Sageer Hydrose and Suhra Hydrose produced the film and Shebi Chowgath directed it. Rony Raphael composes the songs and the background score. Prasanth Krishnan is the cinematographer.

The plot is about a youngster, who falls for a lady, who is seven years elder than him. Bobby is a seminary student. However, he is not interested in it and hence gets out from the institution. He meets Maria, who is an ex-bank employee. Bobby is just 21 and Maria is seven years elder than Bobby. Bobby tries to make Maria understand his love for her but Maria has certain problems on her side. Did Bobby succeed in making Maria understand his love for her? Did they both tie the knots? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Niranj, a newcomer makes his entry into Mollywood. He has perfectly fit the role of Bobby. Niranj excelled in comedy scenes and romantic scenes too. Miya has performed well in the role given to her. She looks pretty in each and every scene. Aju has no significance in this film; yet he has delivered his best.

Shebi Chowgath, the director of the film, has brought a new script to Malayalam film industry. The film is youthful but it lacks some logic. The scenes that impressed the audiences are very short and hence it disappoints.

What’s There?

  • Miya looks beautiful and performs well
  • Prashanth Krishnan’s cinematography is excellent and the visuals are superb
  • The second half of the film is impressive

What’s Not There?

  • Bobby and Maria’s love track is unconvincing
  • Illogical scenes make the audiences get irritated
  • Aju Varghese’s talent is wasted and he is not given the right role

With a different plot in his hand, the director failed to establish the story well. However, we could watch the film once, for Miya’s beauty and Niranj’s performance.
